TAB EATER

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 10, 2026

Tab Eater is a Chrome browser extension designed to limit the number of unpinned tabs to 13 across the user's Chrome windows.

Data access and use

The extension uses Chrome's tabs permission to count open tabs, check whether they are pinned, and close excess unpinned tabs. This processing occurs locally in the browser to provide the extension's core function.

Data collection and sharing

Tab Eater does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information, browsing history, or information about open tabs. It does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or remote servers.

Data storage

The current version does not persist browsing activity or personal data. The extension does not require an account.

Third parties

Tab Eater does not transfer user data to third parties. The extension operates within Google Chrome, which is subject to Google's own privacy practices.

Changes

If the extension's data practices change, this policy will be updated before the changed practices are introduced.
